Gorbel®’s mission doesn’t stop with our employees and customers. We look to Improve People’s Lives in every aspect possible. What started in 2007 as a weekend activity with Gorbel® employees, friends and families has turned into a yearly activity that stands by everything we believe in.
Saturday, May 19, a group from Gorbel® came together to volunteer at
Cameron Community Ministries in Rochester, NY. This weekend, our volunteer efforts were primarily focused on helping to ready the center in the month of May, for the summer months ahead. As we focus on helping them improve their facilities, we free up their staff and volunteers to focus on the recipients of their services.
During our eleven years of service, our tasks have included installing window air conditioners, window and floor cleaning, painting, assembly of new fixtures, and arranging of furniture and supplies. Generally anything they ask us to do, we do our best to accommodate. In the past, Gorbel® employees have donated arts and craft supplies, and school supplies for the kids during their summer off from school. Every Christmas, we collect new toys for the kids, ensuring that they are happy during the Holidays. Gorbel® Inc. has donated computers in the past. One year we gave their cafeteria and kitchen a cleaning and painting makeover!
The volunteer work we do with Cameron Community Ministries is one more way that we are Improving People’s Lives!
