Max Powell is our Staffing Specialist and has been with Gorbel® for almost 4 years!
On a day to day basis as the Staffing Specialist, Max manages the recruitment for all open positions at Gorbel®. He creates job postings, reviews resumes and applications, interviews candidates, and represents Gorbel® at career fairs.
When he’s not at the office or at career fairs, Max enjoys reading, watching TV & movies, going out to eat, running, taking walks in his neighborhood and going to the zoo! His biggest role models in his life are his mom and dad: Gail & Dennis. “Dennis is the nicest and most patient person I know, and Gail is the funniest,” Max says. “I get my patience and humor from them.” He also looks to his wife, Katie, for guidance. “She pushes me to be the best I can be.”
Max is a huge part of promoting the positive people at Gorbel®, and he is key to bringing in the amazing people that we are lucky to have at Gorbel®. Max loves that we have a number of employees who have been here for 20+ years and many who have been here for one, two, or three years – “It creates a very collaborative, dynamic team!”
His favorite part of his job is going to career fairs and hearing the things people have to say about Gorbel®. “I love going to career fairs and hearing ‘My network said I need to check out Gorbel®,’ ‘I’ve heard great things about Gorbel®,’ ‘I’d love to work here’ – My job is easier when you work for a company that is genuinely a great place to work.” One of his favorite memories was working the job fair for our plant in Goodyear, AZ. Max and the team were able to fill the majority of openings from that one event due to all of the hard work from our team.
