On Friday, June 2nd a Fundraiser was held at Village Gate Square to benefit Mental Health Awareness. Gorbel® was one of the major sponsors of the event. This year the event was titled “
Welding for Wellness”. Over 70 welded sculptures were created by metal trade students from Genesee Valley Educational Partnership, BOCES-Monroe 1 & 2 and Wayne Finger Lakes BOCES. The pieces of art were auctioned off with the proceeds supporting the Mental Health Association.
A team of welders from Gorbel® joined the event so that they could interact with students in the metal trades and talk about welding in the industrial space. Many students and teachers visited our Gorbel® table, and since last week…we have had several students visit us already as they contemplate how to use their talents in industry once they graduate from high school.
